Therapy for Anxiety, ADHD, and Insomnia in Arizona
welcome
Hi, I’m Carrie! I specialize in working with adults who are balancing demanding careers, high expectations, competitive environments, and personal responsibilities while trying to maintain their mental and emotional well-being.
You may appear successful on the outside — driven, capable, accomplished — while internally feeling overwhelmed, anxious, mentally exhausted, or unable to slow down. Many high-functioning adults silently struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, ADHD-related challenges, insomnia, or a persistent sense of internal pressure, often learning to push through stress, over-function, or stay constantly productive while feeling emotionally exhausted, disconnected, or unable to fully rest.
My clients often include:
High achievers struggling with perfectionism, burnout, or chronic self-criticism
Adults navigating ADHD, anxiety, stress, and sleep difficulties
Professionals and career-focused individuals
Individuals who feel emotionally stuck despite external success
Athletes and performance-driven individuals
Together, we work to reduce overwhelm, improve focus and and develop emotional balance. We explore not only symptoms, but the underlying emotional experiences, relational patterns, and unconscious dynamics that contribute to distress.
I combine insight-oriented work with concrete strategies that help you create meaningful and sustainable change in your daily life.

Adult ADHD
Adult ADHD can impact focus, organization, emotional regulation, productivity, and self-confidence—especially for high-achieving individuals who have spent years compensating for their struggles.
You may find yourself:
Constantly overwhelmed or mentally scattered
Procrastinating despite strong motivation
Struggling with time management and follow-through
Overworking to keep up with expectations
Experiencing emotional burnout from masking symptoms
In therapy, I help clients:
Improve focus, organization, and daily structure
Develop realistic systems that support productivity
Reduce shame, self-criticism, and mental exhaustion
Strengthen emotional regulation and self-awareness
Navigate work, relationships, and performance pressures with greater balance
My approach focuses on helping you work with your brain instead of against it.
Anxiety & Perfectionism
For many high-functioning adults, anxiety can look like overthinking, overworking, difficulty relaxing, people-pleasing, or feeling like nothing is ever “good enough.”
You may notice:
Chronic overthinking or self-monitoring
Fear of failure or disappointing others
Difficulty slowing down or resting
Burnout, emotional exhaustion, or insomnia
Persistent self-doubt despite accomplishments
Feeling disconnected from yourself beneath constant productivity
Therapy can help you:
Manage racing thoughts and chronic worry
Develop healthier coping strategies for stress
Build self-worth that is not tied to achievement
Set boundaries and reduce burnout
Feel more grounded, confident, and emotionally present
Together, we work to better understand these patterns and the emotional experiences beneath them so that success no longer comes at the expense of your well-being.
Athletes & Performance-Focused Individuals
Athletes and performance-focused individuals often carry immense internal and external expectations. Therapy can provide a confidential and reflective space to process the emotional demands of competition, discipline, identity, injury, pressure, and performance.
Our work may focus on:
Performance anxiety and self-pressure
Stress management and emotional resilience
Confidence and focus under pressure
Recovery from chronic stress or injury
Identity and self-worth beyond achievement
Sleep, recovery, and nervous system regulation
My goal is to provide a supportive space where you can strengthen both mental performance and overall functioning.
Insomnia & Sleep Difficulties
When sleep becomes a struggle, every part of life can feel harder. Difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking up feeling exhausted can impact your mood, concentration, energy, and mental health.
I help clients:
Identify patterns contributing to sleep disruption
Reduce nighttime anxiety and racing thoughts
Improve sleep habits and routines for rest
Develop strategies to calm the nervous system
Create sustainable strategies for restorative rest
The goal is not just more sleep — it’s helping you feel mentally and physically restored.
As a provider certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), I help individuals overcome persistent sleep difficulties using the gold-standard, evidence-based treatment for chronic insomnia. We work collaboratively to develop healthier sleep patterns and improve sleep quality through evidence-based behavioral and cognitive strategies. CBT-I addresses the underlying factors that contribute to chronic sleep difficulties, providing effective solutions that can reduce reliance on sleep medications and improve overall well-being. Treatment is tailored to each person's unique sleep challenges and can help individuals fall asleep more easily, stay asleep throughout the night, and wake feeling more rested and restored.
